About Karthik Rathnam
Karthik Rathnam is an Indian actor known for his work in Telugu theatre and Telugu cinema. He made his debut in the film industry with the critically acclaimed movie C/o Kancharapalem in 2018, which was the first Telugu film to be screened at the New York Film Festival. He then appeared in ZEE5’s Gods of Dharmapuri before reprising his role in the Tamil remake of C/o Kancharapalem. Also, New webseries called Vyavastha streaming on ZEE5 now
According to available information, Karthik Rathnam was born and raised in Secunderabad, a city in Telangana, India. He was pursuing a Chartered Accountancy course when he joined a theatre group called Borusu Leni Bomma. His work with the theatre group earned him a Nandi Award and several other accolades. He eventually decided to discontinue his education and pursue a career in acting full-time. Over the course of his career, he has performed in 30 plays in various cities.
Karthik Rathnam’s initial experience in theatre, dance, and art led him to his first acting role as Joseph in the critically acclaimed Telugu film C/o Kancharapalem in 2018. The movie was a major success and received positive reviews. It was also screened at the New York Film Festival. Rathnam went on to appear in ZEE5’s Gods of Dharmapuri alongside Satyadev Kancharana, playing the character Ravi Reddy. He later reprised his role as Joseph in the Tamil remake of C/o Kancharapalem titled C/o Kaadhal.
