Aedy Ashraf as Beja/Reza

Mohammad Addy Ashraf bin Rosmadi, professionally known as Aedy Ashraf, was born on 20 September 1993. He began his acting journey at the age of 10 and has since built a steady career in the Malaysian entertainment scene. Aedy has starred in numerous films, including popular titles like Cinta Kolesterol and Jutawan Fakir, as well as a wide range of local telemovies and drama series.
In 2015, Aedy’s career took a professional leap when he signed with A Klasse, a talent agency headed by Asyraf Khalid, solidifying his status as a versatile and in-demand actor.
In the 2024 action drama Kahar: Kapla High Council, Aedy portrays Beja, also known as Reza—a multi-layered and influential character central to the film’s narrative. As a prominent figure within the Kapla High Council, the school’s clandestine student governing body, Beja moves through a hidden world shaped by its own rules, loyalties, and power dynamics.
His dual identity introduces intrigue, hinting at internal conflicts and possible shifts in loyalty. Beja’s presence acts as both a challenge and contrast to the lead character Kahar (played by Amir Ahnaf), positioning him as one of the most complex and riveting characters in the film.
Review
Kahar: Kapla High Council is clearly tailored for fans of the original series, offering familiar themes and deeper character arcs. While some viewers have questioned the over-the-top fight scenes—particularly the idea of schoolboys pulling off near-professional martial arts moves—it’s worth remembering that this is fictional entertainment, designed for dramatic flair.
The film manages to find a compelling balance, weaving light-hearted moments with emotionally charged scenes that may just pull at your heartstrings. With strong storytelling, sharp direction, and a solid script, it stands as a testament to the growing power of Malaysian cinema.
